Location: Valmiera district, Vaidava municipality, right bank of Gauja, 1 km E from Sietini;
Apraksts:
One of the most beautiful cliffs in Latvia. This cliff has got mutiple forms of suffosion -
caves, pillars, alcoves, ravine, there has been an arch and there is forming a new one. Excellent sight from
the top of this cliff.
Cliff has got two parts. The northern part is located close along Gauja River. This part has got
yellowish sandstone cliff up to 6 m high.
Southern part is located some distance away from Gauja river. This cliff is up to 15 m high, nearly
white sandstone. Gauja National Park has created wonderful pathway here.
There was natural sandstone arch in this cliff some decades ago - but it collapsed. Nearby there is
located Sietiniezis Devil's Cave - cave with both ends open.
There is also 15 m high sandstone pillar.
